Timestrip finalists in SOFHT Best New Product Category
Smart label specialist Timestrip was announced as a finalist in the Best New Product category at the Society of Food Hygiene and Technology Awards held in November. The annual Society of Food Hygiene and Technology awards luncheon, now in its 28th year, is the event for the food technology market, attracting delegates from every sector of the food industry.
Timestrip were delighted with comments made by the panel of judges: “Timestrip labels are a very big step forward in the monitoring of food hygiene in catering and food storage. It’s innovative and simple and certainly a potential winner for the future.”

Timestrip’s ground-breaking smart labels were nominated for a SOFHT award after being described as ‘identifiably different to any existing product’ and ‘providing a new experience’ for customers. SOFHT is an independent body which offers support through membership to anyone involved in food hygiene and technology issues.
Timestrip’s unique labels monitor elapsed time and can work under a wide variety of conditions, from ambient environments to fridge, freezer and extremely high temperatures. With product recognition growing, the labels are being sought for use in a wide range of industries, including food retail and food service; cosmetics; medical and pharmaceutical. The technology can be integrated into products or packaging, as well as the applied label format. Timestrip plc floated on the UK Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in 2005.
